About us

Our Journey of Compassionate Care

At ONA Occupational Therapy, we believe in the transformative power of holistic care. Our journey began with a vision — a vision to empower individuals, adults, and older adults alike, to reclaim their independence, enhance their well-being, and embrace life to the fullest.

Meet Ncumisa
Our Compassionate Founder

Ncumisa, the driving force behind ONA Occupational Therapy, is not just an expert in her field; she is a compassionate advocate for individuals facing physical and neurological challenges. With extensive experience in diverse rehabilitation settings, including the NHS and private sector, Ncumisa has supported individuals coping with conditions such as dementia, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, stroke, traumatic brain injuries, amputations, and orthopedic issues.

Her knowledge extends to equipment, community rehabilitation, moving & handling, and housing adaptations. Ncumisa’s exceptional ability to identify individuals’ unique needs and make well-informed recommendations sets her apart as a trusted partner in the journey to improved well-being.

Your Path to Independence

Our specialised assessments and treatments are designed to empower individuals, support care homes, collaborate with companies, and assist case managers in providing personalised care solutions.

Philosophy

At ONA, we view every person as a unique individual with distinct needs, strengths, and aspirations. We understand that well-being encompasses physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions, and we take a comprehensive, client-centered approach to care.

Our philosophy is simple yet profound: by addressing the holistic aspects of well-being, we empower our clients to regain independence, confidence, and resilience.

At ONA Occupational Therapy, we are dedicated to providing the highest standard of care. We are registered with the Royal College of Occupational Therapists, members of the British Association of Occupational Therapists, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), fully insured, and have undergone Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks.

Our commitment goes beyond certifications; it’s about creating lasting partnerships with our clients, their families, and care teams. We are here to guide, support, and empower you every step of the way.
